What happened to Devine, Connell, Sheldon & Flood?
Sheldon, Flood & Haywood, formerly Devine, Connell, Sheldon & Flood, is proud of its distinguished alumni. In April 2010, the Virginia General Assembly selected founding partner, The Honorable Michael Devine, to serve as a Circuit Court judge for Fairfax County, where he currently sits on the bench. James Connell, also a founding partner of the firm, was selected by Department of Defense in August 2011 to serve as lead counsel in the defense of one of the most prominent death penalty cases involving Guantanamo Bay detainees.
